Specialist Disability Accommodation Certifications

We can provide Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) certifications for the design and final build of your project

Our Director, Ian Elphinstone is an accredited National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Assessor (Reg:SDA00055).

With experience in the design and project management of SDA, Ian is well equipped to ensure your home or project meets the regulatory requirements of the SDA Design Standard.

We can issue the following certifications for compliant projects:

Category of Compliance Design Certificate
Category of Compliance Final-as-built Certificate

Both certifications are suitable for NDIA SDA dwelling enrolment

There are three stages to our process:

1. Design Assessment

We assess the design plans, drawings and specifications of your project provided by your Architect or Building Designer*. This stage is to ensure the project meets the SDA Design Standards prior to being built.

2. Onsite Advice (optional)

We can provide an onsite inspection and advice during various stages of your projects construction. This stage is optional but is highly recommended to ensure your project is on track to being built to SDA Design Standards rather than post build which can be costly.

3. Final-as-built Assessment

We assess the final build of your project to ensure it complies with the SDA Design Standard.

* Due to regulatory requirements we can not assess our own Architectural Designs due to conflict of interest.
